Day 1: Fes – Ifran – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Sahara Desert
After breakfast, we will travel through the middle atlas mountains. On the way, we will stop at Ifran, a small charming, clean town, known as ” Switzerland of Morocco ” because of its similarity to a Swiss alpine resort. We continue south passing through the largest cedar forest in north Africa and home to barbary monkies, we will have a chance to take fascinating pictures and feed the monkies. After lunch in Midelt, we head south via Talghomt pass admiring the beautiful views and landscapes that nature offers us. We arrive at the region of Ziz valley where we will stop for a breathtaking panoramic view for this hidden oasis filled with palm groves. Within around one hour, we will arrive Sahara desert where your camels are waiting for you. After a rest, accompanied with a guide you will ride the camels and cross the high dunes of Erg Chebbi desert, see a magnificent sunset on top of a dune, then continue trekking towards your luxury white tented camp where you will sleep . After dinner, there will be Berber music played by local people working at the camp around the fire
Day 2: Merzouga - Errachida - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes 467km
Around one hour before the sunrise, you ‘ll be informed to get up to see the sun rise in the nearby dunes before having breakfast and showering in the camp. On the way back, there is the option to go back by camel or by jeep to the center of Merzouga village before driving to Fez.On the way to Fez, you ‘’ll pass through Ziz Valley, Errachidia, Midelt. Stop for lunch in Midelt before we continue to Azrou to see macaque apes and cedar forest. Afterwards we will continue to Fez via Ifrane. Our driver/guide will make sure you reach your booked Riad or Hotel.
